Operating memorandum — No. 001
For: Consultants & fractional executives
Re: Your pipeline  /  Status: By application
Outbound, operated
— by application only —
01 / The premise

Being excellent is not a distribution strategy.

You are very good at the work. Your buyers have no idea you exist. Between those two facts sits every quiet month you have ever had — and every one you will have next year, unless the reaching-out becomes a system instead of a resolution. This memo describes that system, what it costs you not to have it, and how to apply for it.

This document is deliberately plain. If you want to be sold to, there is no shortage of vendors who will oblige.

02 / The arithmetic

What the quiet month costs. Your numbers, not ours.

We make no revenue claims — we are new, and you should distrust vendors who invent numbers. But your own arithmetic is not a claim. Fill in two figures you already know.

Exhibit A — cost of the quiet pipelineArithmetic, not a promise
Revenue the quiet months put at risk, per year
$60,000
Per quiet month$20,000
Over three years, unaddressed$180,000
Engagements needed to cover a year of this engineUsually 1–3
Whatever an operated outbound engine costs you per month, set it against the number above. If it doesn't clear by a multiple, don't apply — see section 05. And note section 06: months that start zero conversations are free.
Exhibit B — the alternatives, pricedDirectional market ranges
ALT.1

In-house SDR

Six figures a year fully loaded (salary, tools, management), three-plus months of ramp, real turnover risk — and a junior cannot credibly speak as a senior expert.

ALT.2

Lead-gen agency

Roughly $5,000–$15,000 per month at the serious tier; commonly a junior on your account, templates with your name on them, and minimum terms in the fine print.

ALT.3

DIY tool stack

Cheap software, expensive truth: someone must run it daily — targeting, writing, tuning — and that someone is you, indefinitely.

ALT.4

This engine

Two senior operators run everything; you approve messages and take the calls. Priced by application, on the terms in section 06 — which no alternative above will match.

Ranges are directional market figures — verify against current quotes. We publish ours after the fit assessment, in writing.
03 / The system

The engine, exactly as it runs.

Built first for our own practice; run live before it was ever offered to anyone. Every message passes through one red gate: you.

Channel 1 / core

LinkedIn outreach

Personal messages and patient follow-up to the people worth knowing.

Channel 2 / compounding

LinkedIn authority

Your thinking, posted on a rhythm, so outreach lands warm. Builds over months, not weeks — said plainly.

Channel 3 / where it earns its place

Email

For buyers who don't live on LinkedIn. Never sprayed for volume.

04 / Division of labour

What we carry. What you keep.

Ours — the machine
  • Prospect identification & per-person research
  • Drafting: outreach, follow-ups, posts, email — in your voice
  • Sending, sequencing, reply monitoring
  • Weekly tuning of targeting, angles, copy
  • Account safety & sending discipline
Est. load on you: none
Yours — the judgment
  • 01 Approve or skip each message. Minutes a day.
  • 02 Take the conversations that come back.
That's the whole job. It's kept small on purpose — your judgment is the one part we refuse to automate.
05 / Fit criteria

We decline more than we take. Check yourself first.

    Proceed to section 09 if…
  • You're a consultant, fractional executive, or boutique advisory / agency founder.
  • Engagements are large or recurring — one new client covers this engine several times over.
  • You have a sharp niche and an offer that already closes when you're in the room.
  • Your buyers are reachable on LinkedIn or email.
  • You'll actually approve messages and take the calls.
    Do not apply if…
  • Deals are small and one-off. Section 02 won't clear, and we'll tell you so.
  • The offer is unproven. Outreach amplifies; it cannot rescue.
  • You want a flood of meetings in week one. That vendor is lying to you.
  • You'd rather not be visible under your own name.

We can't promise a number of meetings — nobody honest can. Our promise is harder: if we don't believe we can win for you, we decline the engagement and your money.

06 / The terms

We carry the risk. Here is the ledger.

Vendors talk about trust. Documents allocate risk. Exhibit C allocates ours to us — in writing, encoded in the refund & guarantee policy.

Exhibit C — allocation of riskFounding cohort terms
T.01

We build before you bill.

Fit assessment, voice capture, and your first drafted campaign happen before your first invoice. If the drafts don’t sound like you, walk away owing nothing. Billing starts only when you approve the first campaign to go live.

T.02

No lock-in.

Month to month. Pause or cancel with 15 days’ notice. No minimum terms — the quiet trick this industry loves is absent from this document.

T.03

The quiet-month clause.

Any full month in which the engine starts zero conversations with approved prospects is free. We do not bill for silence. (Definition of “conversation” in the policy; a working engine produces noes as well as yeses, and both count.)

T.04

Founding rate, locked.

The rate you join at is yours for as long as you stay. Our list price rises with our proof; yours does not.

T.05

Your assets leave with you.

Cancel anytime and keep the prospect research, the voice guide, and every message written in your name — delivered in usable form within 15 days.

NOT OFFERED, DELIBERATELY: guaranteed meeting counts. Anyone selling those without your baseline data is guessing. We would rather carry the five risks above — which are real — than sell you a fiction.
07 / The operators

Two people. Not a platform, not a floor of juniors.

The voice — fronts every engagement

Forum Shah

Eight years inside global consulting and banking marketing — where every word that left the building was scrutinised. Fronts every engagement and runs the engine behind it — the systems, the sending, the discipline.

Partner — strategy & fit

Saurin Gandhi

12+ years in strategy; a decade building his own ventures. Pressure-tests every fit assessment and the economics behind it before an engagement begins.

We built this engine to fill our own pipeline before offering it to anyone. No published case studies yet — we're new, and we'd rather show you the machine itself than borrow someone else's numbers. Founding clients get the trade of the century: a senior operator's full attention while the roster is small.

08 / Anticipated questions

Asked and answered. Plainly.

Q.01

Is this AI spam with better manners?

AI drafts at volume; every message is tied to a real person and a real reason; you approve each one before it moves. Spam is volume without judgment. The judgment here is yours, on every message.

Q.02

It's my name. What if a message lands badly?

Nothing sends without your yes. You see every message first; skip or rewrite anything that doesn't sound like you. You will never be surprised by what went out under your name.

Q.03

Is my LinkedIn account safe?

Hard constraint. We send within human-paced limits, well under what the platform tolerates, and prefer fewer sharp messages to volume. Your account and reputation are the asset; we treat them that way.

Q.04

Why not an SDR, an agency, or a tool?

An SDR: six figures loaded, months of ramp, can't credibly speak as a senior expert. An agency: a junior and a template with your name on it. A tool: a second job that's now yours, daily. This is neither — two operators run the whole thing; you keep the judgment.

Q.05

How fast do results come?

First messages live within a week or two. Conversations build over the following weeks; authority compounds over months. Anyone promising a week-one flood is selling a fantasy — see section 05, do not apply through them either.

09 / Application

Apply for a fit assessment.

One straight conversation about your offer, your buyers, and whether section 02 clears by a multiple. Either it's an obvious yes, or you leave with an honest read on your outbound — free.

Form 09-A — fit assessment 2 of 5 founding seats filled

This decides fit faster than anything else. Be blunt; we will be.

No drip sequence. No hard sell. One human reads this and you hear back either way — including if the answer is "don't hire us."
